Over the past few weeks P2/3 have enjoyed lots of practical and outdoor learning and play. P3 were learning about symmetry - finding lines of symmetry and making symmetrical patterns. They also enjoyed learning the fractions 1/2 and 1/4 and showing this with playdoh.
Both P2 and P3 were exploring various ways to measure. P2 enjoyed using their hands, feet, sticks and cubes; while P3 used metre sticks and also learned how to measure in cm using a ruler. They drew their favourite woodland creature and recorded its measurement in cm.
