Busy week in P2/3

We had a busy week in P2/3 with lots of learning. We had a class discussion and came up with lots of questions we want to explore in our new topic - Cold lands. We looked at the globe and our topic non-fiction books to help us locate the polar regions and find out what animals live there.
We have enjoyed further exploring our topic during Learning through play - using maps and checklists in our igloo, making fires to cook fish and reinforcing our number and keyword knowledge. In numeracy we had fun sequencing ourselves to make a human number line and finding the number before, after and between to 20 and 100!😊

This week Donagh has turned into our very own ‘cold land’. We had to take the opportunity to go out for a walk in our playground to look at the snow and icicles. ❄️
